Become a Founding School

We’re looking for 25 schools to teach the Yugambeh Language Program in 2027 and tell us honestly what works. In return, your first year costs 25% less, and your teachers help shape the program for every school that follows.

A fair deal, both ways

The program was written by a Yugambeh speaker and linguist. Founding Schools make sure it works in real classrooms, with real teachers and real timetables.

Your school gets

  • 25% off your whole first-year order: Student Books, Teacher’s Editions, the Curriculum Companion, Goomp Goomp Readers and Goomp Goomp Country© licences.
  • An online welcome session for your teachers before Term 1.
  • Early access to new readers and updated sheets as they are made.
  • A direct line to us for questions during the pilot.
  • Recognition as a Founding School, if you’d like it.

Your school agrees to

  • Teach at least one band in Terms 1 and 2 of 2027.
  • Seek the advice of Yugambeh custodians before you start. We can help you begin that conversation.
  • Complete a short online feedback form at the end of each term (about 15 minutes per teacher).
  • Join one 30-minute feedback call each term.
  • Tell us about errors or anything that doesn’t work as soon as you find it.
  • Optional: share de-identified student work and a quote we may use, with permission.

Questions

What does the 25% discount cover?

Everything in your school’s first-year order: Student Books, Teacher’s Editions, the Curriculum Companion, Goomp Goomp Readers and Goomp Goomp Country© licences. It is taken off your invoice, on top of school pricing for large orders.

What if we can’t keep teaching after Term 2?

That’s fine, and it’s useful feedback too. We only ask that you teach in Terms 1 and 2 and complete the feedback for those terms.

We don’t have a Yugambeh speaker on staff. Can we still apply?

Yes. The program is designed for teachers who aren’t speakers, and we especially want to hear how it works for them.

We haven’t spoken with Yugambeh custodians yet.

Tell us in your application. Seeking custodians’ advice is part of the pilot, and the Curriculum Companion shows you how. We can help you begin.

What happens to our feedback?

We use it to improve the books, the game and the support we offer. We will not name your school or share anything about students without your permission.

What if all the places are taken?

Apply anyway. We will keep a waiting list, and offer places if a school withdraws.
